UUCP protocols
Most UNIX systems include UUCP, but, you get what you pay for. The drawbacks of UUCP outweigh its
advantages. It is expensive, lacks a user interface and depends on cryptic commands to
operate. Average and experienced UNIX users find the program difficult to use.
Also, UUCP communicates only with other UNIX systems. For many companies where
UNIX systems co-exist with DOS and Windows-based PCs and Macintosh computers,
UUCP fails to satisfy their basic needs. Finally, UUCP transfers are slow.
