The TinyTERM Plus for Windows Maintenance Comeback program allows our customers who are
running older version that may no longer be supported by Century Software or
may have let their maintenance lapse and have no access to Century Software
Technical Support, to get back on support at a reduced cost, eliminating the
higher cost of upgrading and reinstatement fee's, etc..... (a 50%
savings).
The benefits of this program are:
- Save 50% off upgrade costs
- Unlimited technical support (Century Software no longer offers technical support for licenses that are not current on support)
- Ability to get off older non-supported versions (pre 4.7.0)
- Be prepared for Wndows 8 and/or Windows 10 migrations with the latest versions of TinyTERM Plus
- Receive the latest 4.9.1 version
- Receive all other releases or updates during the agreement period free of charge

Century has just released updates
to our TinyTERM for iOS product
line.
Now Available, Version 3.1.0 for:
Enhancements:
- iOS 9 Compatibility
- Added auto remote configure feature that can be configured in the plist
- Prevent keyboard mapping when configuration locked
Current Customers
All customers who currently have TinyTerm Plus or TinyTERM Enterprise AS for iOS
and have purchased through the Apple App store will receive an update
notification when the new 3.1.0 version is available. If you have downloaded Lite and then purchased a license directly
from Century Software, you will also receive the update notification on the
device. You will simply need to
update the app as you would normally update apps on your device. You will not need to re-add your license.

Lite from the Apple
App Store
2. Run TinyTERM Lite,
go to Global Options
3. Under Global
Options, select Licensing
4. Under Licensing,
input the key emailed to you
5. TinyTERM Plus for
iOS feature set is now enabled

Configuration Lockdown
TinyTERM Enterprise for iOS and Android offers Configuration Lockdown
Deloying 5, 100, 500 or over 1,000 devices? Need to ensure that the
configuration remains unaltered for continued reliable use? Wondering
if a user will "accidentally" modify the configuration requiring
technical support?
Century's TinyTERM Enterprise product line for mobile devices offers
"Configuration Lockdown." You can create a single
configuration file, set that configuration file so that it can not be
modified and then distribute that file to all of your mobile devices.
A few easy steps to ensure a seamless deployment.
It is easy to incorporate configuration lockdown, to do so simply:
Go into Global Options
Move down to Configuration Lock option
Slide the button to green
The Configuration Lock allows the user to disable the ability to
add, delete or change connection configurations. This effectively locks down
the current TinyTERM Enterprise settings which can then be distributed to
all devices.

Tech Tip: Mobile Devices and RS232 Connections
Question: Is there a way to connect to an RS232 port (serial) using TinyTERM for iOS or Android?
Answer: Right now TinyTERM for iOS and Android devices supports telnet, SSH and SSL connections. However, this does not mean it can't communicate via RS232. There are several wifi-to-RS232 products available. TinyTERM can telnet to these devices, giving wireless access to RS232 communications.
As for Bluetooth-to-serial adapter support, it's not possible at this time. iOS does not support the Serial Port Profile (SPP). No iOS device -- iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch -- can communicate with a Bluetooth-enabled RS232 device.
Android does support Bluetooth SPP. However, TinyTERM does not yet, as there has been no customer demand for such a solution. TinyTERM for Android can use wifi-to-RS232 devices as described above.
There is one other option for iOS devices. For TinyTERM Enterprise
distributed using your Apple Enterprise ID, TinyTERM Enterprise supports the Redpark Serial Cable. This allows for a directly wired RS232 connection. For more information please contact our Sales department at
