TinyTERM has several display options based on the device's orientation.
The Portrait Settings and
Landscape Settings, while almost identical in available options, are
independent of each other.
Keyboard Settings
The Main Layout determines which primary keyboard is displayed. This
keyboard is normally displayed, unless an external keyboard is attached.
Several keyboard layouts are included, such as English, French, German and Spanish.
The Supplemental Layout is optional. Depending on the orientation and layout
selected, this can include function and number keys.
The External Layout only displays when an
external keyboard is attached,
whether by dock or Bluetooth. It's also used for devices that mimic keyboard input,
such as Bluetooth HID scanners. This provides on-screen function, arrow and
other special keys.
Several Main, Supplemental and External keyboard layouts are available. Each is customized for
appearance and usability in either portrait or landscape mode. There is also a
Standard iPad option for using the iOS system keyboard.
If the included keyboard layouts don't meet your needs, they can be modified by
editing the keyboard file. New layouts can be
added in the same way.
Transparent Keys can be turned on or off. When on, the Transparency
slider is used to determine how opaque the keyboard is. The farther to the right the
slider is set, the more transparent the keyboard becomes.
To save the keyboard settings, tap the left arrow at the top of the screen to go back to
the configuration options.
