Configure an LPD printer in Windows, and set up a UNIX printer for it. Turn off the PC, then send several print jobs from UNIX to the LPD printer. Turn the PC back on. Only the last job sent is printed.

In TinyTERM 4.50, any emulation that uses \033[5i and \033[4i for transparent printing sends the job to Printer 2 under Extra Printers. If that printer has not been configured, the print job vanishes.
Transparent printing directly to the second printer works properly. Print screen uses the primary printer normally.

Century Software, Inc., has had a request for an option to set the font size when transparent printing. Setting the Lines and Columns in Page Setup allows this in a roundabout way, but there is no way to set the font size directly.

When installing TinyTERM Plus 4.50 on Windows XP, the Century LPD files are not always copied. This was duplicated, but inconsistently.

Century Software, Inc., has had a request for the capability to “invert” the background color, so as to not waste printer toner, during screen prints. Thus, even with a black background on the display, the characters will print on a white background.
This is not necessary when using the Print Screen option on TinyTERM’s File menu. That already prints black text on a white background, no matter how the colors are configured. This option would only apply to graphical screen prints in Windows.

If the available disk space fills up, Century LPD loses print jobs. The jobs keep coming even if there’s no temporary disk space to store them, so they’re lost.

The Century LPD server does not use a Page Setup dialog. It relies on the Windows default settings for the printer, unless the Bypass Windows printer driver option is set.
Century Software, Inc., has had a request to add a page setup option for those times when Bypass Windows printer driver is not set. We have also had a request to include an option to add line feeds at the beginning of the print job, as part of a page setup window.

Transparent printing to Scansoft Paperport works intermittently. Sometimes it works properly. Other times the print job comes to screen. Occasionally the print job causes TinyTERM to crash. Printing to physical printers works fine in all cases. Other Windows applications print to Paperport without error.

This was reported with an 80-line ASCII file printed via Century LPD to an Epson 2550 dot-matrix printer, using the “generic/text only” driver in Windows XP. With Bypass Windows print driver set, lines 66 and 67 print on top of each other. Without that set, there’s an extra line feed between lines 64 and 65 instead. This has not been duplicated thus far.

Century Software, Inc., has had report that transparent print jobs come to the screen, unless you must open TinyTERM’s Printer Setup and click OK beforehand. Some printers will also allow transparent print jobs if you go to the File menu and select Print Screen first. Transparent printing works properly afterward.
