Configure TinyTERM’s Printer Setup with the Ignore print requests option. On starting TinyTERM, you must go into Printer Setup and click OK, or transparent print jobs happen anyway. No actual changes need to be made, just clicking OK.

The Century LPD Server for Windows 95, 98 and Me has an option to convert line feeds to carriage return/line feed pairs. The same option was added to the Century LPD Server for Windows NT, 2000 and XP in TinyTERM Plus 4.41.

If the prnwnlst= line in the .tpx file is blank, you must go through the Printer Setup dialog and select a printer before printing from TinyTERM. This was changed in TinyTERM 4.40, so that the Windows default printer is chosen in that case.
However, you cannot leave prnwnlst= blank if you have Bypass Printer Drivers checked. If you do make both these changes, transparent print jobs will come to the screen.

You can’t specify a spooling directory for the Century LPD Server unless you put a backslash \ at the end of the path. For example, if you specify C:\temp as your spooling directory, LPD jobs actually spool to C:\, with the word “temp” appended to the beginning of the spool file name. You have to specify C:\temp\ as the spool directory.

TinyTERM Thin Client will return this error for some network printers. It’s particularly common with printer names that are very long. In that case, you can generally select the printer and use it correctly once, but making any changes to printer setup after that cause the above error.

TinyTERM Plus 4.30 added an LPD server for Windows NT, 2000 and XP. However, there was no option not to install it. That was added in TinyTERM Plus 4.31.

With two or more printers on one PC running Century LPD, sending print jobs to more than one printer on that PC causes some jobs to be lost. This happens when there’s an error in one or more of the print jobs. Rather than trying again, the print files are deleted.

On Windows NT 4.0, when TinyTERM prints to a file, the second file is appended to the first, even when you change the file name in TinyTERM. This was fixed in TinyTERM 4.20.

TinyTERM 4.x versions prior to 4.30 do not check for the existence of a Windows printer until you try to print to it. This makes it possible to configure TinyTERM to print to an existing Windows printer, save that setting, then delete the printer from Windows. When you try to print from TinyTERM after that, an error pops up.
This was corrected in TinyTERM 4.30. TinyTERM now checks for available Windows printers on start. If the currently selected printer does not exist, a usable printer will automatically be selected.

Options set in TinyTERM Plus’ Printer Setup and Page Setup dialogs are ignored by TN3270 and TN5250 emulations. They always use the system defaults instead for print screens. This was fixed in TinyTERM 4.30.
