TinyTERM Thin Client and TinyTERM Plus (thin client install, version 4.40 or higher) are licensed for install on a single terminal server. They are not licensed to be installed on multiple nodes in a load-balancing environment.
If you have terminal servers set up in such an environment, each server must have its own TinyTERM license. To balance the load, you’ll need to purchase a fraction of the licenses you need for each. For example, if you need 30 users spread over three servers, you must have three ten-user TinyTERM Thin Client or TinyTERM Plus licenses. One is then installed on each server.

This problem was first noticed on SCO OpenServer 5.0.6 with dual Pentium III processors. When installing TERM through an xterm window, an error message came up: “Memory fault – core dumped.” The workaround is to install TERM at the console instead of through an xterm.

The TERM for AIX install has three subdirectories: 3.2, 4.1 and 4.2. These correspond to the appropriate version of AIX.
If you have AIX 4.3 or higher, TERM for AIX 4.2 is fully compatible. In other words, though the 4.2 directory doesn’t specifically specify, it is for all versions of AIX numbered 4.2 or higher.

Customers have requested that the Ribbon Bar and menus in TinyTERM be made editable, to allow custom buttons and menu items. While the Ribbon Bar cannot be edited in TinyTERM 4.x, the menus can be edited using CScript commands.
It has also been requested that the tool bars be dockable, able to be moved to different positions in the TinyTERM window. This is not possible currently with any Century Software, Inc., product for Windows.

The resize command is used with xterm on UNIX systems that have graphical display managers. TinyTERM does not emulate an xterm, but character-based terminals instead. Thus, it cannot respond to this or any other xterm-specific command.

Install TinyTERM Thin Client on a Citrix server. Connect to the server from a Windows 3.11 PC. If TinyTERM is configured to print direct to device LPT1: without the Flush Output option checked, the print job does not print until TinyTERM is closed. With the Flush Output option checked, the print job prints slowly and the emulation screen does not return control until the entire print job is finished.
This is not a TinyTERM issue. It was resolved by removing the printers, then reconnecting to Citrix. That re-adds the printers, fixing the printing problem.
