Open a large text file in vi through TinyTERM, large enough to fill several printed pages. Hold down the down arrow or j key so that the file scrolls continuously. Sooner or later it will pause, then if you don’t let up on the key, it will jump-scroll several lines. The same thing happens moving up through the file. This is related to the way TinyTERM buffers screen display information.

This was reported only in TinyTERM 4.21 using Optum 9000 Blackboard, a debit-card reader and accounting package. Reports that should have displayed in 132 columns wrapped at 80 columns instead. According to the application documentation, any VT-series emulation should work.

In WordPerfect 8.0 for UNIX, TinyTERM does not work properly with the macro editor. For example, the sentence:
What is the number
should appear in the editor as:
What·is·the·number
Although it types in as “What is the number” and appears as such the first time, when you go back into the macro it appears as “Whatisthenumber”. When the cursor runs over the text, the text then moves right or left, making it impossible to edit correctly. This was reported in SCOANSI emulation.

TinyTERM’s IBM3151 emulation does not allow the host to reprogram the function keys. The model 310 and 410 terminals made by IBM do allow this, the 510 and 610 models do not.

TinyTERM’s current TAPI implementation dials and accepts calls. Century Software, Inc., has had a request that TinyTERM support the standard TAPI dialogs and settings, rather than the dialogs it currently uses.

Once you connect TinyTERM via SSH, some system memory is tied up until you restart Windows. In TinyTERM Plus 4.31, this was reduced to about 15 kb that becomes unavailable, but the problem has not been eliminated.

The PCTerm emulation in TinyTERM 4.x does not work properly. The host should be able to switch Wyse60 emulation to this mode. Once the escape sequence is received for PCTerm mode, all characters are wrong. And TinyTERM can’t exit that mode since the escape sequence for returning to Wyse60 is similarly scrambled, and so unrecognized.

Century Software, Inc., has had a request to increase the number of available background colors. This has not been implemented in the user interface. However, through CScript you can redefine the existing colors.

TinyTERM will not use Windows TAPI to dial through Spartacom MPTS modem pool software for Windows. Instead, it gives the error, “Error (4513) Subscript out of bound: 13.” Other Windows applications work properly.
The workaround is to dial the modem manually.
