The TN3270 emulator in PIXIL Thin Client supports printer LUs. However, there is no user interface for that option. It must be run at a command line instead:
x3270 -printerlu luname host.address
Century Software, Inc., has had a request to add a user interface option for a printer LU.

TinyTERM Plus includes a switch to enable extended attributes when using TN3270 emulation. However, most of the extended attributes are not displayed properly, even with that switch on. In particular color settings are not used.

Configure a TN3270 session, and set the type to 3278-5 (27×132). The bottom of the screen has a green line across it, with cursor position numbers below that at right.
Connect to a host after configuring this. The line and cursor numbers duplicate above themselves every time you switch screens. It makes tiers of them.

In the standalone TN3270 emulator, the Keyboard Mapper is not the same as the mapper in TinyTERM. Instead, it shows a 3270 Protocol Keys section at the top, and a PC Keyboard at the bottom.
The PC keys are in red and yellow. Pointing to any red key with the mouse causes an “Unmapped” message to appear at the bottom.
To the left of the 3270 Protocol Keys is a Show Map button. This will give a more detailed list of the key abbreviations. It also allows you to change the keys in a list format, rather than a map format.
To map a PC Keyboard key, use the left mouse button to drag the desired key from the 3270 Protocol Keys. Drop it on the red key you want mapped. The key will list its new assignment in black.
To save the mapping, exit the Keyboard Mapper. It will prompt you for a profile name, then save it. The next time you start 3270 emulation, select the desired profile to return to that key mapping.
To make changes to the key mappings under the any profile, open that profile. Go to the Keyboard Mapper to see and change that profile’s mappings.

The Login tab of Session Properties is normally grayed out when using TN3270 or TN5250 emulation. The only available items on the tab are Use private key and the Load Key button, both for SSL/TLS connections. Century Software, Inc., has had a request to make the rest of the tab available for automating telnet login for TN3270 emulation.

When using telnet to connect to an IBM mainframe running VSC or VSE, TinyTERM’s TN3270 emulation connects, then immediately disconnects with no errors. The mainframe log shows a variant on one of the following errors, depending on which version of TCP/IP is installed:
TEL911E TN3270 negotiation error type askterm.
TEL967E Negotiation error: Expected FFFB18 received null.
TinyTERM on the same PC has no problems connecting to a mainframe running VM.

The TN3270 and TN5250 emulations allow you to choose between block and underline cursors, with the option for the cursor to blink or not, just like other emulations in TinyTERM Plus. However, the cursor always blinks, regardless of which option is selected.

Changing the font used by TN3270 or TN5250 emulation can improve its readability. However, it doesn’t necessarily make the emulator look and feel like a standard terminal.
Century Software, Inc., has had a request to create a new font to change that. The font would be the default used by the TN3270 and TN5250 emulations, to make their displays look more like the IBM terminals they emulate.

If you set the Destructive Back Space option in TinyTERM, the Backspace key should erase characters as it moves the cursor. This does not work in Wyse60, TN3270 or TN5250.
