Installing TinyTERM Plus Edition 4.0x on a PC running Novell’s NetWare Client32 may cause the PC to hang on boot, or it may boot into safe mode. This only happens with TinyTERM’s Network Utilities installed.
This error is caused by a conflict with the Novell IP Gateway. It’s normally installed only with a “Custom Install” of Novell Client32. The “Typical Install” option does not produce this conflict. To resolve the problem, you’ll need to do one of the following:
- Remove “Novell IP Gateway” from the Network Properties
- For versions of Novell Client32 prior to 3.10, remove the Novell Client32 software and install 3.10 without Novel IP Gateway.
If the PC will only boot to Safe Mode, remove Century Internet Services from the Network Properties. You can then do one of the above actions. But if you need the Novell IP Gateway, you will have forego the use of Century Internet Services.
