TinyTERM will not dial the Best Data 56USB-P modem on Windows XP. All other applications can successfully use the modem.

If you set the Destructive Back Space option in TinyTERM, the Backspace key should erase characters as it moves the cursor. This does not work in Wyse60, TN3270 or TN5250.

As soon as the download process starts, the flow control on the tty port changes. When TERM brings up its file transfer window, XON is disabled and XOFF is enabled. This happens regardless of the tty port settings. It also ignores the settings in the .termsys file.

Connect to any system using VT102 emulation. On TCP/IP connections it reports as “linux” emulation. And it doesn’t properly handle line draw characters. The Use non font-based line draw option doesn’t help. The workaround is to use VT100 emulation, which has the same capabilities.

Screen Saver

PIXIL Thin Client includes a screen saver that blanks the screen. There is no way to turn it off at present.

In TinyTERM’s Session Properties, set the Close session on disconnect and exit check box. Save the settings, then use the CScript command te.disconnect(). TinyTERM does not close, but it does disconnect. The workaround is this script fragment:

In TinyTERM go to the File menu and select Save As. In a standalone environment, it always defaults to TinyTERM’s install directory. Century Software, Inc., has received a request for an option to change that default directory.

Set up a Citrix connection, either in the Citrix ICA Client or the PIXIL Login Manager. You can select the Launch configuration on startup option, but it doesn’t work. It fails even if the Citrix session is the only session listed.
