Open TinyTERM inside Internet Explorer. Execute a simple CScript, such as the following:
te.xmit(“?\r”);
te.wait(“H”,2);
te.xmit(“A\r”);
The cursor disappears. If you’re not running TinyTERM Web Server Client, you can open the Session Properties and click OK, and the cursor comes back. But the Session Properties aren’t available in TinyTERM Web Server Client.

On Windows XP, opening TinyTERM’s Send File dialog can take up to 50 seconds. To speed the process up, close any unused applications. The dialog opens quickly if the system is not bogged down with multiple applications.
Century Software, Inc., has had a report that this happens when no other applications are running. In particular, the presence or absence of an active VPN made a difference in the time required to open the dialog. This has not been duplicated.

If you use SecureFT to download a from a symbolic link, it gives an error:
File “<link> – <target>” caused an error
(The words “<link>” and “<target>” are replaced with the actual file names.) The file itself can be downloaded, just not through the link.

Transparent printing to Scansoft Paperport works intermittently. Sometimes it works properly. Other times the print job comes to screen. Occasionally the print job causes TinyTERM to crash. Printing to physical printers works fine in all cases. Other Windows applications print to Paperport without error.

This was reported with an 80-line ASCII file printed via Century LPD to an Epson 2550 dot-matrix printer, using the “generic/text only” driver in Windows XP. With Bypass Windows print driver set, lines 66 and 67 print on top of each other. Without that set, there’s an extra line feed between lines 64 and 65 instead. This has not been duplicated thus far.

Century Software, Inc., has had report that transparent print jobs come to the screen, unless you must open TinyTERM’s Printer Setup and click OK beforehand. Some printers will also allow transparent print jobs if you go to the File menu and select Print Screen first. Transparent printing works properly afterward.

Century Software, Inc., has had a request to add the capability to view scanned TIFF and FAX documents in the TinyTERM window. This is possible at the console for many UNIX systems. However, it would require a major rewrite of the graphics code in TinyTERM.
