When attempting to start the service CenLPD.exe in TinyTERM Plusversions 4.7.0-4.7.2, the following error text comes up:
Windows could not start the Century LPD service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Scripts that use TSL compatibility commands for dialog boxes, etc., generate this error in TinyTERM version 4.7.x. The same error comes up when running TSL scripts directly, allowing them to convert on the fly.

The IBM3151 terminal emulation has an insert mode that allows the host system to place text anywhere on screen, shifting all other characters on that line to the right. It can also send a Delete character (ASCII 127) to delete the character at the current cursor location. This shifts the remaining text on the line to the left.
Currently no Century Software, Inc., product handles this appropriately. Instead, they display the “small house” character at that location, throwing the alignment for the line off.

The optional ~/.ssh/config file allows users to configure server by alias, include the username, and set many other options. Connecting to a host system via this locally-stored file speeds up the process. Century Software, Inc., has received a request to implement support for this on the Mac.

The Script_SessUp() function should be called automatically whenever a session opens. In 4.7.x, it only runs when first opening TinyTERM. Sessions opened afterward don’t run the callback function as they should.

When using a hardware keyboard with TinyTERM ITX 3270 for iPad, either via dock or Bluetooth, the Enter key on the keyboard acts as a Return key. Century Software, Inc., has had a request to add a switch that would allow the option of using the Enter key as a 3270 Enter key instead.

The on-screen text in TinyTERM is drawn in individual character cells, rather than as strings of text. This keeps the spacing and alignment of characters in place.
This also make text selection much easier in a grid, by rows and columns. Century Software, Inc., has had a request to make it possible to select text line-by-line instead, similar to the way word processors and text editors handle selecting text for copy and formatting changes.

In TinyTERM ITX for Mac version 2.0.x, multiple copy/paste operations eventually lead to a crash. A single one generally doesn’t, nor does it happen if the copy/paste is only done once in a while. But in succession, say copying text from multiple screens, it does crash eventually.

TinyTERM does not save Windows printer settings. It will write information to the .tpx file about the current printer settings, but that does not properly restore due to the binary hash table Windows uses for such things as margins, lines and columns.

Currently only the on-screen keyboard can be remapped when using TinyTERM ITX products for iPad and iPhone. Century Software, Inc., has had a request for an interface that would allow remapping the keys on an external keyboard, connected to the iOS device either by dock or by Bluetooth.
