Tech Tip: TinyTERM for iOS Crash Log Reporter
Question: Something caused TinyTERM to crash on my iPad. Is there any data I can give you that will help identify the problem?
Answer: The March 2013 releases of TinyTERM products for iPhone and iPad -- TinyTERM ITX 2, TinyTERM Pro, TinyTERM ITX 3270 and TinyTERM ITX 5250 -- now include a crash reporter facility. If TinyTERM crashes, it gives you the opportunity to send a crash log to Century Software. This shows information on what processes were running at the time of the crash.
With the crash log, please include as much detail as possible. Make sure to describe the steps that led to the crash, and whether or not the same steps cause the crash to happen again.
Depending on the crash's repeat behaviro, we may ask for more detail. This may include such things as a debug log or other communications data.
